Jack Sparrow's flower/button ringDec 13, 2009

This is the only ring that fits me - on the right finger. And even still, it's a little loose.
I could not stand all the reviews from people who said, "they are too small" or "they are too big" and people who were guessing how big the rings were - ok take it from me. I bought all 3, downloaded a ring sizer and compared it with rings I own are and the two gold rings are a size 10 and the Dragon ring is a 10.5 End of story. Figure out what finger - on what hand - you are going to wear it and decide if you can buy these rings. Also - do what I did and look through the other available sellers and get the BEST deal - some of these are dirt, dirt cheap. Sadly I have to sell the dragon and the stolen ring back on ebay - they don't fit me.

The only thing I mention about this ring is that it should be offered in different sizes. Seems it was made for tiny teenagers not for adults like myself.

I've seen a lot of reviews about the sparrow rings trashing them but I'm not going to do that. These things are priced soooo low and they look great. They are made as display pieces not for everyday use. I've worn my set a couple times for cosplay without any problems. They aren't a necessity for a good sparrow costume, but they make a nice final touch. well worth the money to me.

This ring looks very much like the one in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie series compared to the plastic toy rings being sold. It's the one that Johnny Depp (Capt. Jack Sparrow) wears on his left ring finger. It's made of metal, the head or setting that contains the "Spanish Flower" and the "3 stones", has the right size, and of course the weight feels like the real thing. The shank, the cylinder that goes to the finger, I guess, does not come in different sizes. You can't choose what size you want. I had it measured in a jewelry shop and it's size 10. It looks perfect except there is one problem. The head or setting is not welded to the shank in the right orientation. The head should be rotated to the right about 90 degrees so that the flower will be parallel to the shank. What I mean is, when you're wearing the ring and you put your left hand in front of you like looking at your wrist watch, the Spanish Flower should be standing and not oriented towards the knuckles. Check the POTC3 when Jack was eating the peanut in Davy Jones Locker. Make sure you slow it down or pause it. You will see what I'm talking about. Check also my uploaded photo to see the difference in the 2 rings. Of course, this is not a big deal. I just noticed it and thought of mentioning it. I brought mine to a jewelry shop to have it re-size and at the same time re-orient the flower, but the people there said they won't be able to do it 'coz the solder is to hot and it will ruin the ring. So I'm stuck with it. It's still beautiful though, so I'm still giving it a 5 star.

The ring it way to big for me but i have very small hands for an adult. My ring finger size it 4.5 but it fits my husbands hand just fine!
