Fantastic book! Many useful tips!Mar 16, 2010
I was initially skeptical and wasn't sure exactly what I was getting. I even read all the reviews, yes the bad ones too. And you know what I LOVED IT. Globalization at its best. Obviously not everyone will understand it or benefit from it. Its how you use the information provided. Definitely interesting to say the least.

I read Tim's book for the first time several months ago. I was immediately struck by all of the practical advice for setting up a life that allows anyone to exit the rat race and recognize their dreams. I was on a mission and was pretty sure that this was going to be the book that changed my life. I told all my friends about it. Started downloading efficiency software, tried to establish new rules with my boss and spent a lot of time trying to create the life he writes about. Now a couple of months later I'm rereading the book (the expanded edition) trying to figure out if I missed something, or if the whole thing is bunk. It didn't work and I want to know why not. :)
So far my conclusion is that I spent a lot of time thinking about, talking about, and planning for how I was going to reach my goals. I wrote business plans, even started a company, but I never sold a single thing and as such, kept living the same life as before. Let me rephrase that, I never gave customers an opportunity to buy my products. I spent so much time planning but I never pulled the trigger. I was afraid of failure, but even more than that I was afraid of partial success. What if it worked, but didn't earn enough to maintain (or change) my lifestyle? What would I do then? The lesson here is: pull the trigger. If you're not going to then don't bother reading the book.
None of this is a criticism to 4HWW, in fact I highly recommend it, assuming you're ready.

Loved this book from the get go. Tim is in your face, has you laughing and asking seldom asked but obvious questions about business. Regardless of the type of person you are employee or employer there is something here for everyone. It has changed the way I look at everything from my personal live to running my business. Highly recommend it to anyone.

Two hours after I started reading I began the process of making my western horses the best creatures, easy to sell. I did it by booking the ferrier... I do not share Timothy Ferriss goals in life but his methods and thinking is SO easy to copy once you get it. Practical and easy to work with and with high "fun-factor"! I read it in swedish.

I think this book has some important things to teach you.
But rest assured - the author is selling you the dream. Work 4 hours a week? Give me a break.
Sell sell sell into the sucker that believe it. Two stars are too much. Here is what you should do:
I would recommend that a good way to truly work 4 hours a week is to learn how to trade and invest. Not many of you will make it in trading. You need to buy and read the books of Toby Crabel and Linda Raschke on trading futures and stocks. They are real hedge fund traders that trade for a living. At least can learn how to trade yourself, instead of giving your money to the next criminal you meet. You may be able to find their books on ebay or amazon.
